This is what the New Voices Movement is about.
We want to fix Nigeria and make it the knowledge and technology capital of the world by 2050. Our vision is detailed here >> Please go through the vision. It is the COMPASS to where we are going.
To get there, we believe we must adopt a liberalism approach as a fundamental ideology.
This is important because it is what informs our approach to building the kind of Nigeria we want to see.
Founded on Liberalism as an ideology, we must then identify liberal policies that will take us to our destination. When we have identified these policies, we must then get in leaders who will raise the kind of followers that we need, followers that will believe in our destination and will be willing to go the long haul and give all it takes to get the numbers that will win us the elections so we can get into office and implement these policies.
This is why the New Voices Movement is a trinity of groups
– Philosophical leaders, who are idealists and can ensure they keep us on the ideological path to get to where we want to get to,
– Policymakers, who are pragmatists and technocrats and know the policies we need to implement to get to where we want to get to and then
Political/Community Organisers who are realists and charismatics and will go into any community and mobilise the people towards our message.
Which one of these three do you think you are? Are you interested in working towards a Nigeria that we can all be proud of? Do you think this vision above is realistic for our generation? Are you a leader and have been passionate about what we can do as a generation?
To deepen our movement and expand our followership, we plan to raise new voices in all the 774 local government areas by 2020 and all the 8524 wards by 2022. Each of these leaders will take the message of our movement into their jurisdictions and let people know of our vision, our ideology and our policies.
Each of our operation groups meet once a week – Mondays for Philosophical Leaders, Wednesdays for Policy Makers and Fridays for Political/Community Organisers
Every month, we will organise physical monthly meetings for all our leaders in all the 36 states and the Federal Capital in Nigeria.
Every quarter, we will work with each of our political/community organisers to situate constituency development projects and economic empowerment projects in their jurisdictions that align with our vision. We know this will build their followership and give us an opportunity to sell the vision to as many followers in our generation as possible.
